How does click PVC work?
Click PVC planks have a click system along the edges and are floated: the floor is not glued down but rests on an underlay. This makes installation relatively quick.
Click PVC also needs a flat subfloor. The underlay absorbs small irregularities; larger height differences are levelled first so the click joints are not put under stress.
A good underlay also reduces impact noise and makes the floor comfortable to walk on.

Click PVC or glued PVC: which suits me?
Click PVC is quicker to install and comfortable, and can often go on an existing flat subfloor. Glued PVC is quieter, more stable and ideal with underfloor heating, but always needs a level subfloor. We advise based on your room.
Do I need an underlay?
Yes, click PVC is laid on an underlay that suits the type of floor — sometimes it is already integrated into the planks. We choose the right underlay, also with regard to noise and underfloor heating.
Can click PVC be used with underfloor heating?
Often yes, provided the floor and underlay are suitable. Always check the manufacturer’s specifications; we are happy to help.
Does the floor need levelling first?
Not always. If the subfloor is flat enough, click PVC can go straight on top. With larger height differences we level first for a flat and durable result.
