Laminate

Why laminate?

Laminate has a sturdy core with a hard, wear-resistant top layer and a realistic wood print. This makes it well able to withstand daily use, chair legs and toys.

Laminate is floated on an underlay. A flat subfloor is important: otherwise joints can start to gap or creak. That is why we level first where needed.

Whether it is a living room, bedroom or attic: we make sure transitions at doors, frames and stairs are neat.

Had a laminate floor laid by Friesland vloertechniek en klussen, very nicely done, worked quickly and tidily. Definitely recommended!

I gave Ali 5 stars because the work was delivered properly and contact went smoothly. Ali responds quickly, lets you know where you stand, is transparent about pricing and I am happy with the levelled floor!

Ali helped us very well, neatly, quickly and kindly. It was not an easy job, as he first had to repair someone else’s work before he could start levelling. I definitely recommend Ali.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about laminate

Can’t find your question? Feel free to send us a message on WhatsApp.

Laminate or PVC: what is the difference?

Laminate has a hard, scratch-resistant top layer and is often more affordable. PVC is water-resistant, quieter and feels warmer. For damp rooms we usually recommend PVC.

Is laminate suitable for a kitchen or bathroom?

Standard laminate is not made for wet rooms. Moisture-resistant versions exist for kitchens; for bathrooms we recommend a PVC floor.

Can laminate be used with underfloor heating?

Much laminate is suitable for underfloor heating, provided you use a suitable underlay. We check the specifications together with you.

Do you also lay laminate in attics and bedrooms?

Certainly. Laminate is a practical and affordable choice for attics and bedrooms in particular. Take a look at our projects for examples.
